Economic DevelopmentJobs are the lifeblood of a city. To bring more and better jobs to Louisville Metro, government should foster an environment that encourages growth in every direction…east, west, south, and north. Government should help where it can and get out of the way when it should. Achieving a vibrant economy must stress the values of regional cooperation, industrial diversity, independent business culture and educational attainment at all levels. |

Neighborhood RevitalizationLouisville is a city of great neighborhoods. We must make catalytic investments to strengthen and energize every part of this community. Metro Government must play a key role in providing services, public safety and real business development opportunities. We must have an open and accessible system which empowers people in our neighborhoods to be part of the solutions. |
|
Comprehensive Regional TransportationWe must develop a regional transportation system that includes cars, bikes, pedestrians, buses, and modern transit. To build a vibrant and sustainable regional economy we must decrease congestion and pollution while improving safety and efficiency. We can start on all of that by building the east end bridge now! |

Transparency and Accountability
We must ensure openness and transparency in how our government works, how decisions are made and how our money is spent. We must also be willing to hear and implement the best and most promising ideas for moving our city forward, regardless of where those ideas come from. That will require transferring the power out of the hands of an insulated group and unleashing the creative energy of the entire community. |
